About a year ago, I stumbled upon an article in an outdoor adventure magazine that would greatly impact my thinking about health and longevity. It discussed an in-depth study of a Greek island, one that I was unfamiliar with but the inhabitants showed incredible characteristics of good health.  Most live well into their 90’s and many maintain a measure of sexual activity at that age as well. There are incredibly low levels of heart disease, cancers, etc. Their diets promoted high energy, very little weight issues and better mental alertness.

The island was Ikaria, which is 10 nautical miles southwest of Samos.  As it turns out, there is a significant amount of information about Ikaria, all the way down to a specific diet plan. If you Google, Ikaria, there is plenty to read about. Below is a quality website that I found along the way that is dedicated to health and longevity. It is well worth investigating.

I can tell you that I adjusted a few diet items from this and as a result have dropped 20lbs in the last year, have a higher energy level and almost no digestive issues that used to occur.  I get up earlier, sleep better and feel better overall than I have felt in decades. If you want to move yourself to the next level, personally and professionally it’s probably going to require more energy than before. That’s going to require a new paradigm for your personal health. The path to Black Belt Business begins with some self-mastery. Here is a good place to start, time to invest in yourself.
